Global Trends in Internal Communication
As part of the Global Trends in Internal Communication course, I developed the “Connect to Grow” strategy to address internal communication challenges faced by FrieslandCampina during the expansion of its Debic brand into Southeast Asia. The project tackled misalignment between the Global Branding team and the new Southeast Asia team, caused by cultural differences, differing communication styles, and a lack of personal connection. The strategy focused on boosting employee engagement through in-person onboarding visits, weekly virtual check-ins, monthly feedback sessions, and the use of tools like Trello and Slack to enhance transparency and collaboration. A recognition and reward system was also proposed to strengthen motivation and cross-team unity. This solution aligned with FrieslandCampina’s values of inclusivity and collaboration, offering a practical framework for improving global team success.
